We are looking for an experienced Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
The Butcher will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing meat products for sale in our store. This includes selecting the appropriate cuts of meat, weighing and pricing the product, and packaging it for sale. The Butcher must also ensure that all safety and sanitation standards are met while working with the meat products.
The successful candidate must have excellent knife skills and be able to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment. They must also be able to follow instructions precisely and adhere to all safety regulations. Previous experience as a butcher is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities: • Cut, trim, bone, tie, grind, or otherwise prepare meat products according to customer specifications • Weigh and price meat products for sale • Package meat products for sale in accordance with company standards • Ensure that all safety and sanitation standards are met while working with the meat products • Maintain cleanliness of work area at all times • Follow instructions precisely from supervisors or other staff members • Assist customers with selecting cuts of meat or other related items as needed
Requirements: • Previous experience as a butcher is preferred but not required • Excellent knife skills • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment • Ability to follow instructions precisely • Knowledge of safety regulations when handling food items
