We are looking for an experienced Continental Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a commitment to creating delicious, high-quality dishes.
The Continental Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of continental dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The cook must be able to follow recipes accurately and adhere to food safety standards. The cook must also be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities: • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, cutting, and measuring • Follow recipes accurately and adhere to food safety standards • Cook continental dishes such as pastas, risottos, soups, salads, sandwiches, etc. • Monitor food while cooking to ensure that it is cooked properly • Taste test dishes before serving them • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is clean and in good working order • Maintain a clean work area at all times • Assist with other tasks as needed
Qualifications: • Previous experience as a cook in a professional kitchen setting preferred • Knowledge of continental cuisine preferred • Ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to food safety standards • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
