We are looking for an experienced Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
The Butcher will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing meat products for sale in our store. This includes selecting the appropriate cuts of meat, weighing and pricing the product, and packaging it for sale. The Butcher must also ensure that all safety and sanitation standards are met while working with the meat products.
The successful candidate must have experience working in a butcher shop or similar environment. They must be knowledgeable about different types of meats, cuts, and preparation techniques. They should also have excellent customer service skills and be able to answer questions about the products they are selling.
Responsibilities: • Cut, trim, bone, tie, grind, or otherwise prepare meat products according to customer specifications • Weigh and price meat products for sale • Package meat products for sale in accordance with safety standards • Ensure that all safety and sanitation standards are met while working with the meat products • Maintain cleanliness of work area at all times • Answer customer questions about the different types of meats available • Provide excellent customer service at all times • Follow company policies and procedures when handling orders
Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree preferred • Previous experience working as a butcher in a retail setting required • Knowledgeable about different types of meats, cuts, and preparation techniques • Excellent customer service skills
