We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The Cook will be responsible for preparing meals according to recipes, ensuring that all food is cooked properly and safely, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Responsibilities: • Prepare meals according to recipes, ensuring that all food is cooked properly and safely • Monitor food preparation and cooking times to ensure that meals are served on time • Ensure that all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste • Follow health and safety regulations when handling food items • Receive orders from customers or supervisors and prepare the requested items • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies needed for meal preparation • Assist in menu planning by suggesting new recipes or modifications to existing recipes • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in good working order
Qualifications: • Proven experience as a cook or in a related role • Knowledge of health codes related to food preparation and storage • Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining accuracy in food preparation • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail • Ability to follow instructions accurately as well as take initiative when needed
