We are looking for an experienced and motivated Kitchen Steward to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities: • Clean and sanitize all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils according to established standards • Maintain a clean and organized work area • Ensure that all dishes are washed properly and stored in their designated areas • Empty garbage cans as needed • Sweep and mop floors as needed • Assist with food preparation as needed • Follow safety protocols at all times • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent preferred • Previous experience working in a kitchen environment preferred but not required • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis • Ability to stand for long periods of time while performing duties • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
