We are looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Cook in preparing meals, ensuring that all food is prepared according to health and safety standards, and helping to maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
Responsibilities: • Assist the Head Cook in preparing meals according to recipes and instructions • Ensure that all food is cooked properly and stored safely • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment • Follow all health and safety regulations when handling food • Monitor food supplies and order more when needed • Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Head Cook or other kitchen staff
Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree preferred • Previous experience as an assistant cook or similar role preferred • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, ingredients, and recipes required • Ability to work quickly under pressure in a fast-paced environment required • Excellent organizational skills required • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds required
