Job Description: We are looking for an experienced and reliable Cashier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling cash transactions with customers, providing customer service, and maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the store.
Responsibilities: • Greet customers entering the store and answer their questions • Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits • Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers • Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change • Establish or identify prices of goods, services or admission and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers or optical price scanners • Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas and complete other general cleaning duties as assigned • Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner • Bag items carefully according to customer requests • Monitor all entrances and exits to ensure that no shoplifting occurs • Balance cash drawers at the end of each shift by counting all money in the register • Follow all company policies and procedures regarding safety standards.
Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred • Previous experience as a Cashier preferred • Excellent customer service skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Ability to stand for long periods of time • Ability to accurately handle money transactions
