Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Caregiver/Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing care and assistance to children in a variety of settings, including daycare centers, schools, and homes. The Caregiver/Teaching Assistant will be expected to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children in their care, as well as help them develop social skills, emotional intelligence, and academic skills. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to work with children of all ages.
Responsibilities: • Provide care and assistance to children in a variety of settings • Create a safe and nurturing environment for the children in your care • Help children develop social skills, emotional intelligence, and academic skills • Monitor the safety of the children at all times • Assist with meal preparation and clean up after meals • Help with homework assignments when needed • Participate in activities with the children such as arts & crafts, outdoor playtime, etc. • Maintain records of daily activities and health information about each child • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about their child’s progress or any concerns that may arise • Follow all safety protocols set by the organization or school district
Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred • Previous experience working with children is preferred • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team • Patience and understanding when dealing with challenging situations
