The greatest challenge Kerala Government is faced in recent history is the reverse migration of its skilled and non-skilled migrant population, approximately 1 million of whom have returned owing to Covid. This migrant population is responsible for nearly a fifth of foreign remittances to the country.

To address this problem, the Government has partnered with Huntr to use Huntr’s technology-driven marketplace solution to align employment opportunities in the Gulf with this able workforce.

This session will discuss the role of entrepreneurship and innovation for the

SDGs, and the pressing need for technologies to continue to adapt to work

alongside sustainable development solutions. Key topics will include youth-led

innovation, the future of work in a post-pandemic society, sustainable business

practices, and the role of technology in advancing the sustainable development

globally.

Youth leaders have an important role to play in promoting human dignity and our common home by instilling the Sustainable Development Goals, the Paris Climate Agreement, and Pope Francis’ social teachings in his latestspeech to the Fourth World Meeting of Popular Movements – through producing awareness, expertise, entrepreneurship, and moral engagement around the world. With just 10 years left to achieve the SDGs, no country is currently on track to do so. People everywhere need to be equipped not just with technical knowledge and skills, but with a deeper understanding of the values needed to forge a peaceful and sustainable future. The Vatican Youth Symposium aims to strengthen global youth movements for sustainable development by bringing together youth leaders and experts in various fields in sessions devoted to the dimensions of youth

empowerment and progressive practices and workstreams that promote the advancement of the 2030 Agenda. The eight annual Symposium, took place in a virtual setting, that convened youth leaders from around the world with the support of SDSN Youth and the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences. The Symposium brought together some of the world’s most renowned thought leaders to connect with young people to create pathways of understanding and action – to shape a sustainable world for future generations. Advocates will join the gathering to offer their guidance and partnership with the youth leaders. As the world continues to chart out the roadmap to recover from one of the most defining moments of the 21st century, we must be even more cognizant of the realities that COVID-19 has pushed onto us and its implications for addressing the most pressing issues of our time.

The theme, “Global Youth Movements; Leading Change for the Good of Present & Future Generations ” framed sessions devoted to the dimensions of youth empowerment and intergenerational leadership with discussions on how COVID-19 presents both an enormous challenge and unforeseen opportunities for advancing sustainable

development globally. Core sessions will be categorized into thematic areas split over two days and include discussions surrounding Transformative Education and Global Citizenship, Human Rights and Dignity, Sustainable Cities & Communities, and Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Technology presenting inspiring messages of how the synergy between the creativity of younger generations and the expertise of older ones curate progressive change.

DUBAI, UAE February 28, 2022 — Huntr is excited to announce its acceptance into OCEAN Accelerator’s 2022 high-tech accelerator class.

Huntr is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and was selected for Class 8 along with nine other companies from a diverse group of applicants in 26 countries. The cohort of 10 startups includes companies from the United Arab Emirates and the United States, representing eight different metro areas in seven states.

Huntr is the next-gen recruiting platform that instantly matches employers with a curated community of the best global healthcare and blue-collar talent.

As part of the accelerator program, Huntr has secured pre-seed funding from 11 Tribes, a Chicago-based early-stage venture fund.

Huntr will start the 16-week hybrid virtual/in-person accelerator program beginning February 28 as Class 8 convenes for an onsite week in Cincinnati. In April, the companies will be hosted by Gloo in Boulder, CO for further onsite intensive sessions. Throughout the program, the Huntr team will be supported by a network of service providers, mentors, and subject matter experts like Fundify (Austin, TX), a crowdfunding platform, and Lighthouse Point Communications (Boulder, CO), a communication coaching group. Ulmer & Berne (Cincinnati, OH) will also be installing their professional services into the cohort, while more than 50 global experts will contribute to the workshop sessions.

In mid-May, Huntr will be introduced at Demo Day, the culminating public end-of-program event in Cincinnati. OCEAN Accelerator, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, has launched 52 high-tech businesses with two exits: SAWA, acquired by Mailchimp in 2019 and StreamSpot acquired by Subsplash in 2020.
